The Nomination Committee is still accepting Nominees’ forms beyond May 4th, …
We encourage Houston Chapter members who still desire to become candidates should continue to submit their Nominee and Conflict of Interest Forms to me Glenn Ray at glray@eprod.com even after the May 4th deadline (and don’t forget to sign them). Forms received after May 4th will not be considered for being on the “Slate”. A Slate is the Nominating Committee’s (NC) recommended candidates that in the NC’s opinion are the best qualified to serve in each of the open Chapter Officer positions. This deadline is set so that the Nominating Committee (NC) can evaluate the candidates based on the forms received by EOD 5/4/12 and the NC will select a Slate. The first name appearing on the ballot by position will be NC’s recommended Slate candidate. In the case of At-Large Chapter Officer positions, it will be the first four (4) names that appear on the ballot for At-Large positions. The NC will continue to validate new candidate forms received and as time permits will add validated names to the ballot below the Slate candidate by each Officer position. Nominees are “validated” by the NC reviewing the Member Roster listing from the International ISACA office determining the person is a paid up member in good standing. Nominations will be accepted election day at the meeting, just prior to voting. Get Involved in Your Chapter!!
